Preferred Vacuum Testing is the preferred method of stating whether ventilation ductwork is clean or dirty. Preferred vacuum testing entails vacuuming out a 10cm squared grid 3 times over a 50metre stretch of ductwork. These samples are vacuumed directly into cassettes that are sent to an independent laboratory to be weighed.
